DMC Research Center participates in Naturpick research project.

NATURPICK research project: Nutritionally enriched foods using bioactive substances obtained from unmarketable products from the fruit and vegetable industry proposes to provide the fortified food sector (bars, gels and powders) and jelly beans with tools and ingredients in order to obtain healthier products, as well as providing the fruit and vegetable sector with a new business line to add more value to products that, even if they meet basic quality standards, cannot be launched to the market, either because they do not meet the requirements of size, colour and/or shape, or because of excess production.

The project started on October 2018 and will run for 30 months with a total budget of 1.2 M€ and the cooperation of 3 Andalusian companies:

– Agroponiente Natural Produce, S.L. (Coordinator)
– DMC Research Center, S.L.
– Moreno Ruiz Hermanos, S.L.

Furthermore, the companies will be supported by 3 public entities:
– Tecnova Technological Center.
– University of Granada.
– University of Sevilla.
