Fruit Attraction: a benchmark fair in the international fruit and vegetable market

Our participation in the BIOTECH ATTRACTION Forum

Committed to sustainability and innovation, DOMCA specialises in the development of natural solutions that improve food preservation and respond to the growing demand for responsible and residue-free agricultural practices..

Residue-free production has become essential in modern agriculture, and consumers are increasingly aware of the need for safe and sustainable food. In this sense, Zero Residue products not only extend the shelf life of agricultural products, but also minimise environmental impact, protecting soil and biodiversity.

During the lecture within the BIOTECH ATTRACTION conference series, industry professionals will have the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge strategies for food preservation and pre- and post-harvest handling, with a focus on the use of bio-preservatives and plant extracts. These innovations will enable farmers to maintain the quality of their produce without resorting to harmful chemicals.

GO-NATURSMOKE Task Force

DOMCA will also share the most recent advances in research and development (R&D) linked to the pre- and post-harvest stages, focusing on the Task Force NATURSMOKE. This innovative project aims to effectively control pathogens through advanced fumigant devices using naturally occurring active ingredients created by DOMCA, contributing significantly to the improvement of productivity and health of fruit and vegetable crops. This task force is funded by the Junta de Andalucía through the funds EAFRD.

Together with companies such as Bioplagen and Agricultura y Ensayo S.L., and with the scientific support of the University of Granada, We are developing fumigant products based on active ingredients of natural origin for the control of greenhouse and post-harvest diseases.

Other innovation projects

BIOTECH ATTRACTION will also include other relevant projects such as Grow4lemon, an Andalusian operational group that focuses on the development of new biostimulants for citrus crops, and the European projects BIOVEXO dedicated to the development of biopesticides against Xylella fastidiosa in woody crops or the recently launched LIFE ACCLIMATE, which will test products against different pests in greenhouses using innovative artificial intelligence technologies, drones and robotics.

These initiatives not only promote sustainable agriculture, but also facilitate early diagnosis of problems, anticipating solutions through the use of ecological alternatives. “With the integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, robots and drones, a new horizon is opening up for agriculture, where innovation and sustainability go hand in hand,” emphasise DOMCA.

With an offering that promises to transform the future of agricultural production, participation at BIOTECH ATTRACTION will be a highlight to discuss how innovation can lead to cleaner and more responsible agriculture.
