DOMCA receives the «social council» award from the University of Granada

The Social Council of the UGR rewards the generation and transfer of knowledge

DOMCA S.A.U. has received the award in the Companies category.

Alberto Baños Arjona, R&D&I director of the company dedicated to technologies and products for the food industry, thanked the recognition by the Social Council of the UGR, highlighted the “close collaboration between DOMCA and the University of Granada” and defined the “responsible development model” by which the company works.

On Thursday 15th March, the Salón de Rectores of the Hospital Real hosted the awards ceremony of the Social Council of the University of Granada, which was presided over by its president, Gregorio V. Jiménez López, with the participation of the rector, Pilar Aranda Ramírez; the director general of Universities, Dolores Ferre Cano; the secretary of the Social Council, Antonio Romero, and the president of the Awards Evaluation Committee, Javier de Teresa Galvá.

Numerous guests from various sectors, both economic and social, have attended an event that every year aims to involve society in the activity and potential of the University of Granada in the generation and transfer of knowledge, as one of its main assets. This call recognises, on the one hand, the efforts made within the University itself and from society to establish institutional or business communication links in which use is made of the resources generated by R+D+i at the University, and on the other, thereby contributing to the economic and social development of our environment through a constant and growing transfer of knowledge.
