DOMCA receives the award for SME of the Year 2021 Granada
The Granada company Domca has been recognised with the award given by the Chamber of Commerce of Motril, the Chamber of Commerce of Granada and Banco Santander to the best company in the sector. SME of the Year 2021. Domca was a candidate among thirty companies in the province of Granada. Finally, the jury chose our company to receive the award over the other two finalists (Grupo Alternativa Campus and SIDN), highlighting our improvement in all business areas.
Among the aspects that the jury in charge of the verdict took into account were the fact of maintaining the workforce and increasing it slightly during the year 2020, the design of equality plans and the increase in business activity at an international level. Thanks to this last point, Domca is present in the main European countries in the agri-food system such as Hungary, Germany and England, but it is not only expanding its presence in Europe but also in Latin American markets such as Chile and Argentina and in Asia in countries such as China. During this period of time we have participated in numerous R&D projects at national and international level, such as our performance in projects such as “The European Food Safety Initiative".“Olivar Health Project”Our innovation and sustainability.
The SME of the Year award is an initiative that is being developed throughout Spain with provincial phases that will lead in early 2022 to the election of the best SME at national level. With it, the organising bodies highlight the leading role played by small and medium-sized enterprises in each national territory in the creation of employment and wealth, as well as valuing the generation of social welfare.
Within the event carried out in this edition of Pyme de año, other awards were distributed among which it is worth mentioning the Accésit Internationalisation award which was received by the Cooperativa Los Fresnos, the Accésit innovation and digitalisation award which was received by AR VISION, the Accésit award for training and employment which was won by the Alternativa Campus Group, the company Congelados Apolo won the Accésit Responsible Company award and finally Fijaplat which won the Covid Special Mention.
In 2020 Domca has already been awarded by the Accésit Award for Responsible Business as a result of the cleaning and disinfection work against COVID-19 in the various health centres and residences in the province of Granada at the height of the pandemic.
DOMCA, after being the winner of the SME of the year 2021 award in the province of Granada, will join the group of different national companies that have also received this award at provincial level. The event will be organised by the Spanish Chamber of Commerce and Banco Santander. The date of the event has not yet been set, but it is expected to take place at the beginning of 2022.
