GARPACK: Search for biodegradable active packaging.

DOMCA has participated in the project “GARPACK” (Active Biodegradable Packaging), funded by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness in the Horizon SME call. The aim of this project was the validation of new active packaging for fresh-cut foods developed by DOMCA. These packages incorporate active ingredients derived from alliaceae that improve the microbiological quality and prolong the shelf life of the food. In addition, the new packaging complies with compostability and biodegradability regulations, thus contributing to the environment.
