Next Thursday, October 10th, the launching day of the Grow4Lemon Task Force: sustainable solutions for better nutritional management of the lemon crop.

The aim of the group, made up of Andalusian entities, is to improve the management of lemon crops in Andalusia through the development of prototypes with biostimulant capacity to improve their growth and development and prevent damage caused by biotic and abiotic stress.

Biomarkers that act as signalling molecules in different situations will be identified.

In short, the aim is to improve citrus crops through research and development of prototypes of new products with fertiliser potential and their testing under real field conditions.

DOMCA is leading this Andalusian task force together with  TECNOVALora Lora Agrícola S.L.SACh and ANDANATURE.  The lines of research will focus on the development of new products with a common objective, to increase the productivity of lemon crops affected by different environmental conditions.

Grow4Lemon is a project co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, EAFRD, through the grants for the creation and development of
operation of European Innovation Partnership (EIP) Task Forces on agricultural productivity and sustainability for the implementation of
pilot projects and the development of new products, practices, processes and technologies in the agricultural, food and forestry sectors, within the framework of the Andalusian Rural Development Programme 2014-2020.
